A visible preview confirms that the browser received permission, obtained a video stream, and displayed frames locally. Reported resolution comes from the active browser track and may differ from the camera's maximum specification.
A black image may come from a privacy cover, another app using the camera, the wrong selected webcam, a loose external-camera connection, or an operating-system privacy restriction.
Remove any physical privacy cover and make sure another application is not using the camera.
Allow camera access from your browser's site controls and reload if needed.
