A successful stream proves that the browser received microphone permission and opened an input device. The live and peak meters then show whether actual audio energy reached the page.
Low or missing input can come from the wrong selected mic, hardware mute, low gain, operating-system privacy controls, or a Bluetooth headset using a different profile. No input is a troubleshooting signal, not proof of physical failure.
Check that the microphone is not muted, select another input device, and review system input gain.
