Privacy Policy
TestMyDevice is designed to check hardware locally in your browser with minimal data handling.

Device tests
Microphone and webcam access begins only after you press the relevant start button and grant browser permission. Streams are used locally for the level meter or camera preview. This website does not record, upload, or store those streams.
Keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, gamepad, speaker, display, and refresh-rate tests also run within the current browser session. Touch positions and interaction traces are used only for the live local visualization and are not stored or transmitted. Concise result data is not sent to a TestMyDevice database.
Reports and PDF downloads
Concise statuses, measurements, and user confirmations are stored in browser session storage so they can be combined across pages. They normally disappear when the browser session ends and can be removed immediately with Clear report. Raw microphone audio, webcam images, video, touch coordinates, and full keystroke content are never added to reports.
PDF reports are generated client-side in your browser. Test results do not need to be uploaded to create the file.
Theme preference
If you select Light, Dark, or System theme, that preference is stored locally so the website can use it on later visits.
Accounts, analytics, and advertising
There are no user accounts, advertising scripts, analytics trackers, or device fingerprinting in this release.
Hosting data
Like most websites, a hosting provider may process basic request information such as IP address, requested page, browser details, and timestamps for security and reliable delivery. Retention and infrastructure details depend on the selected production host.
Your controls
You can deny or revoke camera and microphone access using your browser controls. Active media tracks are stopped when you stop a test or leave its page. You can clear report data at any time from the Device Test Report page.
